Quality assurance
The purpose of quality assurance is to:
- minimise bureaucracy
- maximise consistency
- increase participation and
- maintain rigour.
The introduction of self-validation brought the need for a robust system of quality assurance.
Quality assurance is a safeguard. It ensures that your hard work and achievements are recognised and that those with an interest in your work can clearly see the journey you have taken. So we strongly recommend that you follow our advice as you prepare to self-validate and use the tools provided.
Quality assurance is an important tool for us too. We need to know that the support we offer schools in Cornwall is consistent and meets schools' needs. Once you have submitted your self-validation form to us at Cornwall Healthy Schools (online and in hard copy with the required signatures) it goes to the Cornwall Quality Assurance Group (QuAG).
