Data and data tools
External information about the health of your school community could include:
- Annual Reports of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Primary Care Trust
- Local community health profiles based on districts and wards: Caradon, Carrick, Kerrier, North Cornwall, Penwith, and Restormel.
- Local teenage pregnancy information
- Police data (crime, anti-social behaviour)
- Drugs information (from DAAT etc)
- Accident and Emergency data, for example, binge drinking
- School Health Related Behaviour Questionnaires (HRBQ) for Cornwall schools and those giving the national picture. The Schools Health Education Unit provides survey, research and publishing services.
The SW Healthy Schools Coordinators have been involved in the development of a data mapping tool to research all kinds of health information and bring it together in one place.
