Schools that validated before Dec 31st 2006
If your school validated before December 31st 2006 you'll be among the first to be invited to become part of the Healthy Schools enhancement model and use the annual review tool.
We encouraged you to maintain your Healthy Schools work by reviewing your practice against the four core themes, completing the online audit of the forty-one criteria and gathering information to help you identify outcomes.
Your work in completing the online audit provided an excellent record of your Healthy Schools achievements and we are helping you to transfer content to the annual review.
Your work on outcomes is evidencing the impact of your Healthy Schools work and will provide valuable evidence for the Ofsted pupil wellbeing indicators being introduced.
Everything you are currently doing will provide excellent preparation for Healthy Schools Plus if you are involved in the pilot or plan to become involved. Similarly, it will be vital to Enhancement.
Timescales
We'll be inviting you to complete the Annual Review and move into Enhancement as soon as possible after September 2009. Although you will be given until January 2011 to do this we feel that you won't need such a lengthy period because of the excellence of your Healthy Schools work and your committment to the programme.
