The South West Public Health Observatory's Skin Cancer Hub has developed a series of factsheets covering the incidence of malignant melanoma, the epidemiology of skin cancer and regional trends. You can also compare key skin cancer statistics and trends across local authority and primary care trust areas in England using the Skin Cancer Hub's Skin Cancer Profiles.

Regulation of the use of sunbeds

In April 2011 the Sunbeds (Regulation) Act 2010 came into force. The Act bans the use of sunbeds by under-18 year-olds in England and Wales and will help local authorities to protect public health through the regulation of sunbed businesses. Read the full text of the Act on the government's legislation website.
