The Princess Royal Trust for Carers
This charity has a website for professionals and devotes a whole section of this to Working with young carers. On this site you will also find the What is a carer? section. The PRTC has also produced the Schools resource pack and makes the Young carers e-learning module available through its website.
Barnardo's
Barnardo's believes in the potential of every child and young person, no matter who they are, what they have done or what they have been through. Go to the Barnardo's Young carers section.
Anti-Bullying Alliance
This website is not specifically about young carers, but young carers are often socially isolated and because they are perceived as being different they are likely to be bullied. The Anti-Bullying Alliance has lots of information and help.
The Joseph Rowntree Foundation
The Joseph Rowntree Foundation is an endowed charity that funds a large, UK-wide research and development programme seeking to understand the root causes of social problems, to identify ways of overcoming them, and to show how social needs can be met in practice.

NHS Choices has a Young Carers section which gives information about being a young carer. There's also a section about young carers and socialising and caring and illnesses gives tips for looking after a parent, brother or sister.

Carers UK describes itself as the voice of carers; it is led by carers for carers.
