Heartstart in the Community - Heartstart Cornwall, Healthy Communities

The BHF work in partnership with many organisations and institutions such as local volunteer groups, the ambulance service and other organisations to establish local community schemes.

Many of these schemes run courses that are open to the general public in their local communities. Others teach specific groups, such as employees in large companies, or army cadets and other youth groups, while some focus on heart patients and their families.

The course lasts for two hours and provides practical hands-on learning

To support the development of Heartstart in the wider community we have set up our own community programme.  Heartstart Cornwall, Healthy Communties is intended to make the process of joining Heartstart easier by providing the support / structures to enable courses to take place.
