Teaching Drug and Alcohol Education with Confidence in Primary Schools
Having used CWP's superb SRE resources for some time we know just how good their materials are. So we were delighted to be asked to pilot Teaching Drug and Alcohol Education with Confidence in Primary Schools.
Seventeen schools in Cornwall took part in the pilot and provided very positive, comprehensive and detailed feedback which CWP used to revise the materials. The complete resource has now been published.
We were really pleased that Kirsten Jowett, the author of the resource, came to Truro to launch the resource in Cornwall for us and lead a workshop on it. She gave us an insight into CWP's thinking behind the resource, took us through its structure and led some group work on it. Workshop attendees were also inspired to hear from Debbie Clifton-Griffith of Trewirgie Junior School about her experience of the pilot and how much her class enjoyed the lessons. Attendees were thrilled to take a free copy of the resource, worth £99, back to their schools.
We are offering the resource to schools along with (optional) class-based mentoring and training events, contact us.
