Blitz Project No Longer in Secondary Schools
27 Jan 2012
The Blitz Young People’s Alcohol Project is currently being reviewed in relation to impact, learning outcomes and effectiveness. This means that it will not be running in the Secondary Schools across Cornwall for this year. The intention is to use the learning from the review to inform future delivery and enhance Blitz’s current programme of informative education.
Youth Intervention Officers will continue to keep their promise to schools to deliver drugs and alcohol awareness in schools, but not under the old Blitz project.
In addition, support and resources continue to be available from the Health Promotion Service and the YZUP Young Person’s Substance Misuse Service in relation to early intervention around drugs and alcohol in schools.
