Feedback about the whole-school focussed day resource
Bishop Cornish CE VA Primary School trialled the whole-school focussed day on emotional health and wellbeing and we were delighted that they gave us some really helpful and encouraging feedback.
They found that there were plenty of activities for KS1.
Moppy stories

The Year 1 children loved the Moppy stories which are very colourful and appropriate for the age group. (The school is intending to buy the books to use in other years). Year 1 made their own coloured strips of card and are still using them; this especially helped one child who is on the autistic scale. They all enjoyed playing the feelings in a hat game.
The Year 2 children loved the Book of Worries which gave them the chance to discuss things that cause them to worry. They also seemed surprised that other people worry about the same things, adults included!
The Year 2 teacher said: "Children fully engaged with the story - it really enabled them to understand the concept of 'a worry'. Several children openly described the strategies they use when they are worried. There was a good discussion about how some things would worry some children but not others. We discussed the type of things that could worry children and/or adults and ways of getting rid of those worries."
Year 3 talked about dreams and ambitions and used plasticine to make models of what they wanted to be.
OK to be me
The school found the "It's Good to be Me" resource book a good starting point for work with Year 4.
Year 5 did lots of interesting activities focussing on feelings and being unique.
In Year 6 the activities linked well to their "Growing Up" science topic.
