St. Mary's is a voluntary-aided Roman Catholic primary school. It has the distinctive ethos and character of a Catholic school, where our faith is at the heart of all that we do and our Mission focuses our endeavours.
Through our Healthy Schools work we nurture children to be happy, healthy and secure. Every child is treated with equal dignity and respect. We therefore ensure that all children are encouraged, valued and celebrated.

Activemark - 2009 - achieved
The annual awards will reward delivery of the national PE, School Sport and Club Links strategy. Schools will be automatically assessed for one of the marks through the national school sport survey, which all School Sport Partnership schools take part in.

The PADL award is given to school councils which achieve standards set in participation and democracy in schools.

A School Travel Plan is a written document which outlines a series of practical steps for improving children’s safety on the journey to and from school.
