1st February 2019
This Children’s Mental Health Week (4-10 February 2019), the theme is Healthy: Inside and Out. Place2Be have shared free primary and secondary resources to help schools and youth groups get involved.
For this year’s theme Healthy: Inside and Out, Place2Be is asking everyone to think about how they look after their bodies and minds.
When we think about healthy living, we tend to focus on looking after our bodies – our physical wellbeing – through food, being active and getting enough sleep.
However, in order to be healthy overall, it’s important that we look after our minds – our mental wellbeing – too.
Free primary and secondary resources are now available on the Children’s Mental Health Week website, including assembly guides, slides, group activities, fundraising ideas and more to help schools and youth groups explore what it means to be Healthy: Inside and Out and look after their bodies and minds together.
Place2Be have also shared top tips and other resources for parents and carers, as well as marketing goodies and a fundraising pack to help children, young people and adults across the country shout about the Week and raise vital funds.
We also really like the resources on the Mentally Healthy Schools website, and the Anna Freud Talking Mental Health Toolkit - why not take a look for some ideas for a whole school assembly to kick the week off in your school?
