Cornwall Council’s Schools Workforce Health and Wellbeing team are saying goodbye this week to their formidable coordinator, Karen Keast. After 2 and a half years in the role, Karen is moving to a new position at Truro and Penwith College.
The good news for you is that the programme will continue to run in her absence, and schools health and wellbeing champions are being encouraged to continue their work in schools. New staff are being recruited to the programme and the hope is that new employees will be in place at the start of the new year.
Schools can still apply for funding towards a sustainable staff wellbeing initiative for their school, which ties in well with our staff wellbeing training and support for schools.
If you would like to know more about becoming a health and wellbeing champion for your school or MAT, check out their website www.swhwcornwall.co.uk
In the meantime, if you have any Health and Wellbeing Champion queries they will be picked up by the rest of the team in Health, Safety and Wellbeing – firstname.lastname@example.org
Wishing you well in your new career, Karen!
