Time 2 Move: Cornwall's PE and School Sport Framework

The framework essentially focuses on the wellbeing of students and how it can be supported through the implementation of Physical Activity, PE and School Sport in the school setting.  The strategy – called Time 2 Move pdf – was launched at the CAPH/CASH Conference in June 2015 and is broken down into 6 key strands:

  • Curriculum Delivery
  • Physical Activity, Health and Wellbeing
  • Competitions
  • Leadership, Coaching and Volunteering
  • Specialist Target Groups
  • Community Collaboration

Cornwall Healthy Schools are particularly proud to be working with schools and partners to help develop / support the framework and we are closely involved in the Physical Activity, Health and Wellbeing Ambition Statement of the framework, as this relates most closely to our work:

Strand 2: Physical Activity, Health and Wellbeing.

“To ensure that all young people are aware of health related issues and are supported to make informed choices to engage in an active and healthy lifestyle within and beyond the school day.”

We are really pleased that health and wellbeing is recognised and considered to be an integral element of the framework

Useful Tip

If your school is implementing the 'Time 2 Move' framework, you will also be fulfilling the Being Active Core Theme of the Healthy Schools status requirements. While our aim is to offer schools a wealth of programmes and resources, we want to ensure a holistic approach for schools where everything we do fits together to form a bigger picture.
