UK active suggest that a more radical and comprehensive approach is now needed to tackle childhood inactivity. They address the need to understand the extent of childhood inactivity and to build basic activity back into children's lives. UK active promotes movement and play as an integral part of every child's life and highlights that health, education and physical activity settings should work together to support family's to demonstrate healthy physical activity behaviours from an early stage.
UK active stipulate that work needs to be done to create a better understanding between teachers, parents, the health sector, children's activity, sport providers and children themselves, as to what works in getting children and young people moving. Our physical activity training aims to help develop this understanding between sectors.
