Training for Schools to Support STOP Stigma

The Cornwall Healthy Schools team have developed a training day for teachers. The training covers:

  • mental health stigma
  • understanding more about mental health problems
  • emotional health and wellbeing work in school
  • an introduction to the STOP Stigma resource.

This training is suitable for heads of PSHE / pastoral care and will enable you to disseminate to staff who will deliver the STOP Stigma resource in the classroom.

Alternatively, classroom teachers can receive the training directly.

The training is based on the Education not Discrimination training pack published by time to change, one of Britain's most ambitious programmes challenging the discrimination experienced by people living with mental health problems.

Next date for training is Friday 23 May 2014 at Liskeard Town Hall, Liskeard, Cornwall.

To book your place on this training day complete one of our online booking forms or go to our Cornwall Healthy Schools training page for more details.

We will be planning more training dates around the county.  Contact us if you would like to be added to our waiting list.
